Day-by-Day Itinerary
Airport to Sigiriya
After arrival, welcome by our English-speaking driver. Drive to Sigiriya via Dambulla — visit the famous Dambulla Golden Cave Temple (World Heritage Site, 1991). Evening Minneriya, Kaudulla or Hurulu Eco Nation Park 4×4 safari according to elephant availability. The 'Gathering' occurs in Minneriya during September–October when 300+ elephants converge on the ancient tank.
Sigiriya to Kandy
Early morning climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress (5th-century 'Lion Rock') before the heat — best time for photographs. Back to hotel for breakfast. Drive to Kandy via Nalanda Gedige, Matale Spice Garden (free visit), Gem Museum & Workshop, and Hindu Temple. Kandy city tour, evening Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance, and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, drive to Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Continue to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Falls, Tea Plantation and Tea Factory visit. Nuwara Eliya city tour — the 'Little England' of Sri Lanka with its colonial architecture, cool climate and immaculate gardens.
Nuwara Eliya to Airport
After breakfast, drive to Colombo or airport. En route, stop at Gregory Lake, Victoria Park and the Strawberry Farm. Arrive at Colombo / Airport by afternoon. Tour concludes.
